Welcome Scavenger Hunters. I’m pleased to introduce award-winning author, Anne Greene, at this stop. Anne, tell us what your Scottish historical romance, Marriage By Arrangement, is all about.

Thank you, Sharon, I’d love to. If you’ve never been to Scotland, Marriage By Arrangement will make you feel as if you have. You’ll visit the Scotland of 1746 with its castles and nobility, its hills and moors, its shadows and sunlight. The baaing of its sheep and the mooing of its coos will transport you to a time without electronic gadgets and fast running automobiles. You’ll enjoy tea and scones and Haggis and neeps. You’ll meet Scottish nobility and English tyranny. You’ll experience the conflict between conqueror and conquered. You will enter a totally different world from our present day one.

You will fall in love with Duke Avondale, the English groom with a shadowy background and huge obstacles to overcome. His voice rings true as you see the things he sees, hear the things he hears, and feel the things he feels.
You’ll admire spunky Lady Cailin MacMurry who obeys her father’s wishes that she marry a rich, titled English Lord to protect her family, castle and lands from warring factions. But Cailin soon discovers she might have to have her husband murdered to save their unborn child.

You’ll love Avondale for his heroic self-sacrifice and compelling personality as he protects Cailin from the revenging English Duke of Cumberland, youngest son of King George of England. You’ll experience Cailin’s fears and victories and Avondale’s great sacrifice. But though it all, you’ll know that marriage is worth fighting for.

I know your book is a great read and I highly recommend it. Now, please tell us a little about yourself.

I love writing about wounded heroes and gutsy heroines. My highest hope is that my stories transport readers to awesome new worlds and touch hearts to seek a deeper spiritual relationship with the Lord Jesus. Marriage By Arrangement is my fourth inspirational novel and recently released. The first novel in the Scottish Marriage Trilogy, Masquerade Marriage, won numerous awards. My third book, a contemporary called A Texas Christmas Mystery, also won awards.

I live in McKinney, Texas. Tim LaHaye led me to the Lord when I was twenty-one and Chuck Swindoll is my pastor.
